International Graduate Training Centre (IGTC) in Mathematical Biology
The PIMS International Graduate Training Centre (IGTC) in Mathematical Biology started in September 2007 and will continue until 2014, with PIMS and Mprime funding. This was the first graduate training centre sponsored and funded by PIMS, and was focused on the training of graduate students in mathematical biology at PIMS universities. The two main hubs for the IGTC activities are the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia, however all PIMS member and affiliate universities participate at significant levels.
The IGTC graduate training elements include annual research summits, summer courses, new term-time courses, seminars, graduate student exchanges, and international visitors. More detail on these and other elements of the IGTC can be found in other pages on this website.
