CNRS Postes Rouges
The Institut National des Sciences Mathématiques et de leurs Interactions of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) has launched its 2025 call for applications to host foreign colleagues in its Unités Mixtes de Recherche (UMRs) (laboratories) and Fédérations de Recherche (FRs) (networks of laboratories).
We invite applications from faculty members at any of the PIMS member universities to collaborate (in France) on a scientific project with a host at any of the Unités Mixtes de Recherche (UMRs) or Fédérations de Recherch (FRs). These positions are for three months (shorter visits cannot be funded under this scheme) and are available to faculty at all levels of seniority (assistant, associate, or full professors) at any PIMS member university.
Information for applicants
- Eligibility: Must be a faculty member at a PIMS member university. All levels of seniority are possible (equivalent to French CR/MCF or DR/PR, and assistant, associate or full professor).
- Duration: Must commit to a 3-month visit in a laboratory in France (shorter periods cannot be funded under this program).
- Financial Support: Travel, visa, accommodation and meals for the duration of the visit will be covered. Further details are to be discussed with the management team of the host laboratory.
Application requirements
- Curriculum Vitae (with a list of publications).
- A specific scientific project for the proposed visit, mentioning the host at the chosen UMR/FR (laboratory/network of laboratories).
- Provisional dates for a visit between February 1, 2025 and November 30, 2025.
- An invitation letter / or copy of an e-mail from the director of the host laboratory.
Applications via the PIMS IRL should be sent to the PIMS Director (director@pims.math.ca) by September 30th, 2024. Complete applications for the CNRS Postes Rouges will be forwarded to CNRS for review and appointment.
