Ben Adcock Appointed PIMS Simon Fraser University Site Director
The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Adcock as the new PIMS site director at Simon Fraser University. His term began on October 13, 2018.
Ben is an associate professor at Simon Fraser University. He studied mathematics at the University of Cambridge, receiving his BA in 2005, MMath in 2006, and
Ben’s awards and achievements include receiving the CAIMS/PIMS Early Career Award in 2017, an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship in 2015 and a Leslie Fox Prize in Numerical Analysis in 2011. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, 15 conference proceedings, two book chapters, and his work
As well as being the PIMS-SFU Site Director, he is also a member of the CAIMS (Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society) board.
