Details
This 4-day workshop, set at the border of grassland and forest in the Canadian Prairies, will foster interactions between established and junior researchers working on the large-scale geometry and physics of moduli spaces arising from gauge theory. These spaces include the moduli space of Higgs bundles and "quantum" varieties constructed via topological recursion. There will be three mini-courses as well as opportunities for talks and posters by junior participants. Funding is available for graduate students and postdocs to attend the workshop.
Each mini-course will consist of three introductory lectures on different pespectives on geometry, topology, and physics arising from gauge theories with non-compact moduli.
Mini-Course Speakers
- Olivia Dumitrescu">Olivia Dumitrescu (Central Michigan University)
- Qiongling Li (Caltech / QGM)
- Hartmut Weiss (CAU Kiel)
All of the workshop activities will take place at Elk Ridge Resort at the edge of Prince Albert National Park in Saskatchewan. Accommodation and meals will also be provided on-site. The workshop will begin in the late afternoon on Friday, August 3 and will conclude at lunchtime on Monday, August 6. Transportation will be arranged to and from the city of Saskatoon. More details about the schedule, mini-courses, registration, transportion / logistics, and opportunities for junior participants will be made available shortly on this web page.
