Canadian Abstract Harmonic Analysis Symposium
Speakers
Details
Abstract harmonic analysis has had a strong presence in Canada’s mathematical community for several decades. The Canadian Abstract Harmonic Analysis Symposium has provided a forum for researchers in the area to interact for nearly 20 years. It also provides a forum for junior researchers to get exposure to the community, and the 2017 instalment of the symposium will continue this legacy. We will bring together researchers and graduate students from Canada and abroad, who are working in abstract harmonic analysis and related areas, such as Banach algebras, operator algebras, operator spaces and quantum groups. We will provide an environment in which they can present their research and discuss open problems. In addition, we will invite several world-leading scholars in the area to deliver plenary lectures.
Plenary Speakers:
Yemon Choi, Lancaster University (UK)
H. Garth Dales, Lancaster University (UK)
Anthony T.-M. Lau, University of Alberta (Edmonton)
Matthias L. Neufang, Carleton University (Ottawa and Lille France)
