Theoretical and Mathematical Biology Session
Speakers
Details
The field of Mathematical Biology has experienced a rapid development in the last decade. Current mathematical tools are approaching a level of sophistication that allows for a high-level application of these techniques to real biological problems. In addition, new experimental methodologies developed in biophysics (e.g., spectroscopy and imaging) can now provide precise and accurate measurements, yielding data that can now be meaningfully analyzed by the new mathematical models. Given the current state of Biophysics it is imperative that both theoreticians and experimentalists are well aware of the recent advances in their respective fields. The purpose of this conference therefore, will be to provide a venue to educate theoreticians and experimentalists in the recent advances in these disparate disciplines.
Topics will include:
• Imaging
• Biophysics of Lipids
• Protein Folding and Dynamics
• Structure and Function of Biomolecules
• Theoretical Biophysics
