3rd Pacific Northwest Computational Neuroscience Connection
Details
The North American Pacific region is a center of strength in the growing field of computational neuroscience. In this inherently interdisciplinary field -- practiced by mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers as well as neuroscientists --- mathematical, statistical and computational ideas are finding a growing number of fruitful applications in experimental neuroscience. We propose organizing a yearly regional meeting to help create and nurture connections between theorists and experimentalists, between disciplines, and between different institutions on the Pacific Rim.
This short conference will bring together the diverse community of scientists, mathematicians, and engineers in the Northwest who are using computational tools for neuroscience research, with a primary goal of facilitating new collaborations. We are going to have tutorial introductions on computational neuroscience "language," methods and concepts, research-level talks, posters, and a scientific social.
