PIMS/AMI/GMU/China Institute Lecture: Multi-scale modelling and Computation
Speakers
Details
In recent years, multi-scale modeling and computation have been widely used in the study of complex problems arising from science and engineering. The first lecture begins with an introduction of homogenization and main idea of multi-scale methods. In the subsequent lectures, we particularly focus on the following topics:
-Multi-scale Analysis for Eigenvalue Problems in Composite Media
-Multi-scale Computation and Analysis for Parabolic Equation and the wave Equation in Composite Media -Multi-scale Approach and Analysis for Maxwell's Equations in Composite Materials
-Size Effects, Scale Invariance, Scale Gap and Multi-physical Modeling and Computations
-Symplectic Geometric Algorithms for Hamiltonian Systems
